< Back Twilight Princess - Characters
Link
A young farmhand raised in the province of Ordona on the outskirts of Hyrule. Link's peaceful lifestyle is swiftly overturned after several of his friends are kidnapped by a dangerous band of Bulblins. In his pursuit of the monsters, he is removed from the familiarity of his home and finds himself wandering the immense Hyrule, ravaged by a force known as the Twilight. Transformed into a wolf and partnered with a devious creature called Midna, Link will discover that rescuing his friends is only part of his journey.
Midna
The enigmatic, arrogant and playfully devilish Midna is a creature of the Twilight. Upon discovering Link transformed into a wolf and trapped in the Twilight Realm, she unashamedly blackmails the young rancher into aiding her in her quest to bring about the downfall of the corrupt Twilight king, Zant. Wearing a broken crown and a sinister smile, there is more to Midna than there seems.
Princess Zelda
The young princess of Hyrule, trapped within the confines of her own castle eveloped by the Twilight Realm. With no choice but to surrender her kingdom to the Twilight King, Zelda secretly aids Link and Midna in the hopes of freeing Hyrule from the tyrant, helping them to escape Hyrule Castle. Princess Zelda is a young woman of great power and wisdom, though forced to carry the burden of her people.
Zant
The Usurper King of the Twilight Realm. With the aid of a powerful god, Zant stole power away from the mysterious Twilight Princess, transformed the Twili into hideous monsters and claimed the throne of the Twilight Realm. Driven insane by years of oppression and unfulfilled promises, Zant means to march on Hyrule and merge the realms of Light and Twilight in the name of his newfound god.
Ganondorf
Once the leader of a vicious band of thieves hailing from a barren desert, Ganondorf was caught and put on trial at the Arbiter's Grounds, a massive prison built to house Hyrule's most dangerous criminals. Sentenced to death for attempting to steal Triforce artifact, a cruel revelation confirmed him as the heir of the Triforce of Power. Breaking free of his chains and killing a Sage of Light, he was hastily banished to the Twilight Realm. He has some connection to the events ravaging Hyrule.
Ilia
Link's closest friend and daughter of the mayor of Ordon Village. Ilia is very passionate about nature and animals. When Link accidentally injures the horse Epona while herding goats, Ilia becomes angry with him. The two barely have enough time to reconcile before she is wounded and kidnapped by a band of Bulblins. Escaping their clucthes shortly afterwards, she finds herself in Hyrule Castle Town, stripped of her memory...
Colin
The son of Link's mentor. Young Colin is often bullied and outcast by the older, tougher children of Ordona. He greatly admires Link and aspires to be like him, albeit much more passive. He is one of the children kidnapped by the Bulblins.
Rusl
Link's mentor and the blacksmith of Ordona Village. Rusl is a man of incredible skill, having taught Link the art of swordfighting. While somewhat resigned to his quiet country lifestyle with his family, Rusl yearns for adventure, prompting him to join a small band of kindred spirits determined to figure out what is happening to Hyrule.
