Is it better than Doom 3, at least? *laughs* The Doom 3 engine is pretty solid, but sadly the same couldn't be said for it's namesake. I've heard decent things about Prey though, and I look forward to reading this. |

The story centre's around 3 Cherokee's (Native American's) in the present time i believe. The main character is Tommy. He has a girlfriend called Jen who runs a bar on a reservation. However Tommy wishes to leave the reservation with Jen because he wants to see the world and doesn't believe in the cherokee rubbish that Jen and his grandfather, Enisi believe in. They don't want to leave because its their home land respectfully. The game opens in the bar where Tommy presuades Jen to leave while she disagrees. Enisi gives him a little lecture about his hertiage and Tommy doesn't give a dam. Enisi replies "You will need much of me tonight", jeez happens in every game doesn't it... The local rednecks *cough*AsN*cough* cause a bit of trouble a few moments later after i finish playing blackjack on the machines and Tommy has to sort them out. I didn't have a clue at this point how i would beat them up - i didn't even know i had to till they started shouting and taking lumps out of me. Jeez at this point i was cacking myself, because if i was to come up against an alien now i would be meat - or Prey. After nearly killing the guys with a trusty wrench. The TV has a breaking report and basicallly the screen goes mental - cars flying around, ground shacking, wolves howling and such. Enisi and Jen get sucked up in the space ships beam and Tommy then gets sucked up too.. Turns up they end up in a spaceship called the Sphere.. Level 1 completed - Now im ready to kick some alien butt, although im worried i may die as those red necks pretty much knocked over 60% off my health. Not bad for a beginner...;) |

I have this game for the 360. The graphics, for the system, are really underwhelming. The gameplay is very vanilla, and the story is meh, for lack of a better word. I played it for about an hour and a half. I doubt highly that I'll ever resume the game. |

Ok so, it turns out my player has been abducted from the land of Texas i believe. Half of this level is spent doing nothing - thats because you are trapped and being moved on like some massive rollercoaster. Don't have a clue how the characters got trapped in this along with half of Texas. A person then catches the main characters eye setting up a bomb to break some of the people out. It fails - but Tommy, surprise, surprise manages to get out. It actually turns out he's on the aliens space craft called the Sphere. And the story now focus' on Tommy trying to find his girlfriend and break her out. To my surprise he shows no real emotion to trying to find his grand farther - he can die for all this character concerned... Next week - Looking for Jen (His girlfriend) |
