The Freeloader: N+

N+ is the latest game to hit the Xbox live arcade. Based on the popular freeware game 'N' by Metanet, this fast paced 2D platforming adventure definitely deserves is price of 800 points. N's wall-jumping, gold-collecting action and simplistic visuals transfer into Xbox live arcade seamlessly, with the slight graphical update doing nothing to degrade the experience.

The controls are a little twitchy, especially for those used to using a keyboard, but a slight tweak of the sensitivity can sort this right out. The included level editor encourages people to create and share as well as play, and further extends the gameplay mechanic. The multiplayer looks promising, but it's really just an extra piece; you could play the single player for years, and never get bored.

Whether you've played N, and want a little more; or you've never played, and are just looking for a decent game, this will gain your notice. The simplistic visual style is more charming than boring. It's a perfect game to just sit back and play, yet is challenging enough to keep your interest.

The original freeware game, N, is found here: http://www.harveycartel.org/metanet/

This man is insane. The twitchiness is half the fun! Don't listen to him!

I had a try out the demo of this game earlier this morning, before you posted this up. A very interesting little game indeed. The floatiness of your character makes for a rather interesting experience.

I'm *almost* tempted to buy it.

Almost.

I have never even HEARD of it.
Sorry. =(

Twitchy controls always annoy me though.

It's popular, if you spend far too much time on the internet. I stumbled across it first about three years ago.

I'm still not too clear about the game. Buuuut I guess the best way to find out will be to try it, no? :lol: Thanks for the heads up, Sam. <3

Wow... I really ought to work on actually telling people about the game, as well as what I think of it
