Failure is not an option... This is Warfare (or a conspiracy)

Here's the deal. This article is in two parts. The first part is a pasting of the games overview from Gaming Press. The second is a summary of my feelings based on the games subject matter.

PART 2: What the hell?
Ok, seriously... what the hell? Is anyone else a little dissapointed at how some developers are treating the U.S. infection of Iraq? There are millions of people who are forced to live in an increasingly unstable country while we chase ghosts throughout their neighborhoods and try to make and attempt to rebuild all that we destroyed.
AND NOW WE GET TO TREAT IT LIKE A GAME IN A BRAND NEW FPS!! WOOO HOOOOOO!
I think we can all agree that many FPS's (btw I realize that this is an RTS) have been released in the last decade with increasingly urban, or "destroyed urban" environments. We are also fighting overseas in very similar environments for real. By the time many soldiers get to Iraq, they have "virtually" seen so much of wha they are being asked to do there that second guessing what they do becomes much less probable.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that terrorism isn't an issue (especially considering that 90% of the current estimated terrorist population has come about AFTER our overseas takover). I suppose the armed forces will need more people from the gaming community to help control the (rightfully) angry masses that now despise us.
I'm just wondering if the game comes complete with a false flag attack on U.S. soil? ... or are they still using the controlled demolition in lower Manhattan?
If the idea of the U.S. Military using video games to recruit and train is a new concept for you, please check out this video:
*also I was unable to locate screen shots of this game.. if you want you can probably just go to google maps and get a satalite photo of Iraq if you are that interested.
It's comforting to know I'm not the only one here who firmly believes 9/11
was a false flag op. Remember, the only way the government is going to
go into the sort of martial law it desires is if it convinces the people that
it's necessary for their safety. It worked for Hitler.
"War as a video game. What better way to train the ultimate soldier?" - Solid Snake
It's commonplace to try and desensitize recruits to warfare to make them better soldiers; hence the crawling under barbed wire while machine gun fire whizzes overhead, etc etc.
I do agree that it is dubious using games like America's Army to recruit for the US Army, but anyone who thinks about joining the army based off a video game is an idiot, should go play the first level of Brothers in Arms on Authentic difficulty, and then see how quick that takes the sparkle out of their eyes.
The army has always used the poor and/or and the gullible to fill its ranks.
Wow. I originally expected to stir up some political issues... I'm glad there are people who don't turn to Fox News in order to figure out whats going on these days.
I was 4 blocks away when tower 2 fell in Manhattan that day. It was my second day of college. I've tried to convince everyone I know that something wasn't right about the way they fell. Everyone I was running with (running away from the tower) that day could feel tremors in the ground before the first piece of debris actually even hit. If thats not indicitive of planted explosive devices I have yet to hear another scientific explination.
yeah that seemed odd. I mean on one hand, it was a terrible terrible thing that deserves its recognition and respect due to the number of innocent lives lost.
But seriously.. stop throwing colored terror threats at me and mentioning the word TERRORIST over and over until it becomes as household as Orange Juice at breakfast.
... and are you kidding??? The "smoking gun" video that shows "Osama Bin Laden" supposedly (and conveniently) admitting that he was behind the attack is found in a basement of an abandoned buildigng in afghanastan???????????? Isn't that how they "found" the Blair Witch Tapes too? .. I mean, fool me once shame on you... fool me twice...
