DRM promotes piracy due to the desire people have not to be restricted on something THEY HAVE PAID FOR. I think a better option would be to supply the consumer with an incentive to buy the game that piracy does not provide.
First off, I have to admit that when I heard about this game I had almost no intentions of considering it for purchase. The concept seemed a little drab and I didn't know if it was going to be that interesting.
Judging by the demo, I can admit I was wrong.
As I stated before, I will not be including an arbitrary numerical value by which to rate this game. There will only be my opinions based on my experience playing.
The Game:
At a whopping 950+ megs(basically a gig), I will immediately say that depending on your free ti...
As many of this site's frequent flyers know, I am a HUGE survival-horror fan. I must admit though, I have never played the original Condemned for the 360. So you may consider this review less influenced by that game.. and thus I will not be comparing the two.
While surfing the internet I stumbled upon this article. Someone quoted from the article while not giving context so I went in a little angry. After reading it though I felt had found a soul mate. I whole heartedly agreed with her views on fanboyism
I'm posting this for all the survival-horror fans. As you can determine from my avatar I am a HUGE one. The original Alone in the Dark game is what probably kicked that off for me. The following is what one of the developers has to say about the latest edition (screens included):
I'm exited to have the ol' rumble back in town.
Subsequently I've been doing research on why the Rumble feature wasn't added earlier. It is the source of many a flamewar online and it is actually a subject that involves another next-gen console.. the Xbox 360.
I'm not a "NYKO-hater" by any means, but when you create a controller made for a blu-tooth enabled system and then make it WIRELESS (2.4gz)-which by the way does NOTHING but take up another USB port for no reason. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF knock off battery life by adding an additional LED for every button...
Some of you have surely been following the Dark Sector game which is being released on Both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. This is not an article about the game itself, this is instead a bit on what we can expect for the multiplayer end of things. While there are some d...
Here's the deal. This article is in two parts. The first part is a pasting of the games overview from Gaming Press. The second is a summary of my feelings based on the games subject matter.
Part 1: The game "Warfare"

Ok, I'm posting this article to let everyone know about a new game that seems to have some forethought put into it! This game (X-Blades)is being released on ALL of the next gen consoles as well as PC! I hope this is something everyone can get exited about! I love games that come out for multiple platforms as it helps EVERYONE, regardless of console choice, to become enthusiastic for the same title! .... it also helps weed out fanboys!
Permadeath has somewhat become of a craze in Massively Multi-player Online Games (MMOG) as of late. Some game's (such as Dofus) have adapted Hardcore servers, which accept permadeath as a feature. MMOG's which have no permadeath have guilds that willingly delete their characters upon death.
N+ is the latest game to hit the Xbox live arcade. Based on the popular freeware game 'N' by Metanet, this fast paced 2D platforming adventure definitely deserves is price of 800 points. N's wall-jumping, gold-collecting action and simplistic visuals transfer ...
Online games may have many unusual features and fantastical cultures but one feature shared with the real world plays a big part in progression - this is the relative scarcity of money.
I've been reading through some other sites forums pretty hard lately, and all I come across is "X console is better than Y console because blah blah blah etc". Its disgusting. The rivalry between Xbox 360 and PS3 is pathetic to say the least. I find myself annoyed at all the hardware spec comparisons and format war articles to boot.
A man stands before me. Among the future, and among the past.
This man stands 178cm tall with a dark, sometimes morbid, style of clothing.
Dark hair, dark clothes and hazel eyes.
Blessing's from Irish soil power his White Caucasian lungs.

Once upon a time long gone by, in an era long forgotten, there was one character at the start of one of the longest videogame series in history. Mario, the Italian plumber. Having made a very first appearance on the NES, the character was christened Jumpman.
These days, the media is full of tales of people who fall in love online.
Such so, it's now commonplace for a couple to delare they met online. Two or so years ago however this statement would often have been rewarded with silence.
But now the times have changed.
(for those who have suffered real losses, let me start by saying this is all with tongue planted firmly in cheek...)
For those who have not heard the devastating news, I have recently had to say farewell to a long time friend. After a joyful afternoon where our relationsh...
The likely reality of the removal of the Net Neutrality Principle is that internet service providers will give websites the possibilty of running faster and better on their ISP than on others, with limited interaction to websites that don't pay up, which would be damaging to smaller websites, or fansites such as this, who simply can't pay up.
Two big companies combine to use gamers for their money-making plans. Should gamers be happy? Or should gamers wave their white, skinny fists in anger?! You decide! You, the people! Ads in games? I rant, you read, you get a little bit smarter. GO!
While modern game developers for both the Sony and Microsoft platforms do whatever is in their ability to keep to the modern 1080i standard, I am thoroughly disappointed to see the lack of support for neatly done anti-aliasing in modern games, especially from 3rd party developers.
