Sales figures are in, and since the game's Jan 31 launch in Japan it has sold over 1 million copies. That, for those of you who haven't been paying attention, officially makes it the fastest selling Wii game in that console's history.



In a move that has taken many video game fans in general, and Super Smash Bros. fans in particular by complete surprise, Nintendo has announced that the newest iteration in the famous fighting series, slated for a February 08 release, will include the ability to design and share custom levels.



Sega’s notorious blue hedgehog has been stirring up a lot of gossip recently: Last year, Shigero Miyamoto (father of Mario, LoZ, Star Fox, and other Nintendo games) mentioned in a Tips & Tricks magazine interview that he’d love to see Sonic the Hedgehog added to the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl, if he recieved Sega’s approval, but it wasn't unveiled until this week that Sonic will, in fact, make it into the roster!



Many of the Smash Bros. series fans may have still been feeling rather stale after Nintendo’s failure to deliver Smash Bros. Brawl on the desired early 2007 date. But news of its new confirmed launch date; December 3rd has surely neutralised any hard feelings.
