It's an interesting time for the video game market. Despite all the strengths of high definition graphics and more powerful consoles, one of the most eagerly awaited titles of this year is a cute, 2-D side-scrolling game. And Sony is very confident that LittleBigPlanet is going to be... well... big.
Patapon for the PSP is a unique game that appeals to me on a few different levels. Firstly, the stylized graphics are done very well and are a great quality that makes you forget you are playing a 2D scroll-style game almost instantly.

In my last article I talked about how the format war was encroaching on the console war, well now it seems that the format war is all but over, this time Sony proves to be the victor with their format, Blu Ray.

The last few weeks have been full of rumours in regards to the possible discontinuation of 80GB SKU from retailers worldwide. Today, GameStop reveals some concrete information which will hopefully bring this whole convoluted mess to a close.

It will come off the planogram on Jan. 28. The 60GB version should already be gone from stores. Only the 40GB version of PS3 will be sold in Best Buy stores at this time.”
It's a possibility according to Albert Penello, Microsoft's group marketing manager who admitted that should the Sony born, HD format win out this generation's "Beta-war" that the staunch supporter of the HD DVD format would consider a Blu-Ray add on to the Xbox 360.
