Nintendo News.
Whilst this gamer feel that a large portion of the core gamer market needs to lighten up and look past their jaded perceptions of what makes a video game legitimate or not, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has gone on to apologise for the company's lack of such titles at this year's conference.
This is all according to the september issue of Nintendo Power. The game is called Sonic & The Black Knight and will feature Sonic for the first time wielding a sword. As you may have guessed this is going to be a Wii exclusive just like 2007's Sonic and the Secret ...

One common concern I've been hearing lately about the recently announced Wii Animal Cross is whether players will have to start from scratch, but I'll glad to confirm that connectivity between the Animal Crossing: Wild World on the DS and Animal Crossing: City on the Wii has been confirmed.
During a developers round-table session on June 16th by Nintendo, most of the focus was on talking more about the games that were revealed earlier during the conference this Tuesday.
However, near the end of the session, Miyamoto was asked if he was thinking of developing...

Through this year's E3, we will keep you updated with a daily calendar of the events to look forward on that today. Today, the Nintendo and Sony press conferences, as well as conferences from Ubisoft and Capcom.
Earlier today, the UK Official Nintendo Magazine pulled a reference to an Animal Crossing Wii reveal at E3 this week from their website, likely because it wasn't meant to be public knowledge until the event itself.
Square Enix have today announced plans for not just one, but two new titles featuring the company's famous yellow mascots, both due to appear on the Nintendo DS later in the year.
Kotaku have generously put put together a timing schedule of all the press conferences that will appear at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expos.
Check below for the full list of conferences, so you can mark off the date and time of the events you're most eager to catch.
A week or so ago, we had seen that Square Enix had modified their Japanese site with that of a clock. You are thinking "oh, no big deal, right?" WRONG! The clock seem to have some resemblance to the clock like C to Chrono Trigger, which is without a doubt probably one of the greatest RPGs of all time and perhaps the SNES as well.

Within the past few years it seems Nintendo has been content with keeping Wario limited to the Wario Ware mini-game collections rather than platformers that the rude, greedy, "villain" became famous for. However, information regarding a new Wario game has recently ...
The Wii Fit users may not be dropping the pounds, but if a recent Japanese poll by IT Media is anything to go by, a large percentage of users have already dropped something else... the game.

According to a recent GI story, Nintendo of Europe marketing boss Laurent Fischer has confirmed that a solution to the Wii's clearly apparent storage limitations is on its way... but it won't be in the form of a hard drive.

I won't lie. I did pick up a copy of Wii Fit myself. Lord knows with my lifestyle I need it, and anything that will encourage me to get some exercise is good by me. Did I fall for the hype? Maybe. Will it help people slim? According to Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter, the answer is no.
Recently, Square Enix took a surprising move when they transferred the original Final Fantasy III to the DS, overhauling it completely with a new 3D graphics and refining the gameplay. Now it's Final Fantasy IV's turns, and the newest trailer has a lot of surprises up its sleeve.

Mario's platform games have been famous for many reasons, not least for their emphasis of skill and timing within their charming 2D platforming mechanics, but never has this fact been put to such a productive use.
Now this is a strange week; the PSP is selling so well in Japan right now that it's practically outselling the rest of the competition combined.

WiiWare is a Nintendo provided service that allows developers to develop original games and software for sale and download on the Wii. An official list of launch titles for the European WiiWare service has finally been released.
Nintendo's Wii console, which has been on sales since since November 2006, has finally passed the 6 million sales mark in Japan. On top of this, the unique Wii Fit title has already passed the 2 million sales mark in less than 6 months.
Somehow, in the middle of the night, with almost nobody noticing, Nintendo today launched The Nintendo Channel.
It's a new addition to the Wii that lets users preview upcoming titles, receive news, and download playable demos for the DS.
Unique as Wii Fit may be, its certainly an oddity to see a video game focused on healthiness and fitness (not something many of us take pride in taking good care of) being such a hot product with consumers, but apparently that's the case.
Recently the BBC announced it's iPlayer video service will soon be available via the Nintendo Wii, thus making it the first of the current generation of consoles to have a truly dynamic range of online video content.

Today, Nintendo finally confirmed the release date for the highly anticipated Mario Kart Wii in Europe; the game will be hitting European shelves on April 11.
Sales figures are in, and since the game's Jan 31 launch in Japan it has sold over 1 million copies. That, for those of you who haven't been paying attention, officially makes it the fastest selling Wii game in that console's history.
Super Smash Bros Brawl has been anticipated for a long time. By pretty much every gamer... ever. The fact that the game has sold over 820,000 copies in it's first week on sale shouldn't really come as any shock, then.
Figures shift around a bit this week; the Wii has shot well into first place, likely due to the release of Super Smash Brother Brawl in the region (jealous), whilst the Nintendo DS has surprisingly slipped into third place.

Those hoping for the Wii to step away from it's casual gaming focus and embrace "traditional" gaming will be sadly disappointed though. It looks like casual gaming is here to stay.
A recent US study shows playing computer games particularly on the Nintendo Wii can help improve a surgeon's performance in the operating theatre.
Wii games that require delicate movements with the Wii remote are said to be the most effective. The control required to play these games acts as a warm up before surgeons have to perform similar movements later on a patients body.

If you didn't hear, they failed to complete all of the games due to technical and water temple issues. All was not lost as they raised $1,200 for Child's Play.
