Now to celebrate Spore being released in September, Maxis decided to give players a taste of the game by releasing two versions of the game's creature creator. One as a free demo with a quarter of the content and a full creator for around $25.



First off, I have to admit that when I heard about this game I had almost no intentions of considering it for purchase. The concept seemed a little drab and I didn't know if it was going to be that interesting. Judging by the demo, I can admit I was wrong.

As many of this site's frequent flyers know, I am a HUGE survival-horror fan. I must admit though, I have never played the original Condemned for the 360. So you may consider this review less influenced by that game.. and thus I will not be comparing the two.



If you have been paying attention to future PS3 and PSP releases you may have heard of a little game called Echochrome. Today the demo was released in the Japanese Playstation Store. The good thing is if you have a PSP you can try it out too.



Patapon for the PSP is a unique game that appeals to me on a few different levels. Firstly, the stylized graphics are done very well and are a great quality that makes you forget you are playing a 2D scroll-style game almost instantly.



I know. It is ALREADY out and available for purchase so a review based on the demo is a bit stale at this point. However, you can consider this a basic review of the gameplay and mechanics involved in this new 3rd person shooter.

Atari today announced the launch of the official Beautiful Katamari™ demo on the Xbox Live® online game service. Taking everybody by complete surprise, Irrational Games (2K Boston) decided last Saturday to make available on Xbox Live Marketplace a free downloadable demo of one of the most highly anticipated fps games in recent memory, Bioshock. The demo itself is about 1.2 gigs in size, which translates to roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour of gameplay.
