As you progress through the game, other options will eventually appear as well, including play blitzball and ride in the airship.

The Red Arrow indicates your destination, while a White Square indicates a Save Sphere's location. A Green Square signifies a door or cave. You can turn off the location map, using the Config option on the Menu Screen.

It's divided into three sections, which include Reference, Basic Controls, and Basic Terms. The Reference section explains the game's different Command Abilities, Auto-Abilities, Overdrive Modes, and gives basic data about Overdrives. Basic Controls explains the Menu, battle procedures and precautions, plus a few tips, and then provides information about outside of battle activity (i.e. when out in the field). The Basic Terms area does pretty much what its name implies (i.e. explains the game's basic terms and phrases).
