"Finally decides to own up" as if this is a big long term issue hahaha. Anyway, Nintendo's pretty awesome for thickening their straps. They don't look much different but it's impressive to see a company spend millions just for something like that.

Glad I waited. Both of my friends that have Wii's have broken theirs. No processor and harddrive issues, but every machine will have SOME flaw when it releases I suppose.

I've played Wii Sports and Red Steel all day when I got it. o.o Not once did my Wiimote go flying out of my hand, so technically I didn't even need to be wearing the strap. Just. Grip. The. Thing. (And don't even think that you're Venus Williams, swinging it that hard is lethal) I'm happily going to keep my original strap concidering it's doing it's job just fine. |

I have to say I laughed pretty hard when I first read the news articles about it. All my friends and I had played Wii sports with all of our gusto and never had a problem. Perhaps just lucky. Anyways, I found it slightly amusing browsing the website that popped up subsequently about it, wiihaveaproblem.com, or something like that.
