Stamp of the Dead

Capcom once held the torch aloft as the master of the zombie-fest game, but some point along the way, they drowned in their own t-virus induced vomit. The company has resurrected that torch recently though, and aims to celebrate in a rather curious manner.

Those who have been keeping an eye on the Swarm Watch we no doubt be aware of Capcom's rather unique new approach of celebrating this unique sensibility of theirs, but that's not all they have planned.

The Biohazard / Resident Evil series reached it's 10th anniversary this year, and the Japanese company have decided to celebrate with a rather odd choice of merchandising...postage stamps.

This isn't an entirely original idea, mind. Nintendo did the very same thing to promote Mario's 20th birthday. When given the choice between an Italian plumber or an undead zombie in the top corner of your envelope though, the choice is an easy one to make.

Though the stamps are Japanese, it won't be entirely impossible for oversees gamers to track them down and buy. Check out the Japan Post website if you still live in an area of the world where such an archaic form of communication is still in popular use.
