Do not come between a kid and his console.

This lesson was learned by two would-be robbers who broke into the home of the Fernandez family intent on making off with the PS3. Their plans were thwarted by the son, Damian, who ushered his sister Deanne into a closet and then drew out his katana blade. He awaited the arrival of the thieves and once one appeared he drove the blade into the man’s chest. The thief reportedly “freaked” and fled but was later found hiding by a tree. His accomplice escaped, presumably unharmed.

The father spoke on the incident. “…If [the robber] would have had a gun, I could have lost one of my children.” Perhaps the father would worry more if he had to face the karate-and-kantana armed kid should he need to remove the console for parental discipline.

One thing is for certain; that PS3 ain’t going anywhere.
