The Independent Film Council (IFC) has recently announced a contest. They say the contest has been inspired by Assassin’s Creed [Xbox 360]. All entrants must base their short film around any of the following themes – Social Stealth, Conspiracy surrounding historical assassinations, Assassination, Assassination in public or Assassination of historical figures.

Essentially, you just have to make a film about killing someone!

The winner of the contest will receive a $10,000 prize. Along with this, they will also walk away with an Xbox 360, a copy of Assassin’s Creed and will also have their film included on the limited edition pack when buying Assassin’s Creed! Now of course this raises a lot of interest for gamers from different parts of the world, but there is a downside to this. Only residents of the North American area are able to enter the competition which leaves many European directors with nothing to do.
