To no surprise of anyone here, or in the internet, Capcom have released figures, showing that the game Resident Evil is its biggest franchise, selling 35.500.000 compared to the second, Megaman, which has sold 28,000,000.

Whereas RE is the biggest selling franchise, it’s not Capcoms biggest selling game. That title goes to Street Fighter 2, with Selling in at a whopping 6,300,000 units sold, since 1992.

The game might be the biggest thing in Japan bar nothing, but there's very little interesting in series by consumers outside of Japan, and that reason alone is gonna stop it from seeing release. And considering MH3, the release of a game based on the previous title seeing release now is even less likely.
