Aka possible permanent disbarment for Jack.

There are not a lot of gamers who aren’t familiar with Jack Thompson. It was earlier reported that Jack, who has knowingly misrepresented information and made false statements galore, was recommended for disbarment for ten years by the Florida Bar. Jack walked out on the hearing then but specific recommendations for sanctions have since been released.

Judge Dava Tunis has recommended both permanent disbarment and a fine of $43,675.35. The dollar amount has been reported to cover the legal costs of prosecution in this case. Considering how much of a nuisance and general liar Jack is, the more the better.

Predictably, Jack had a rebuttal in his defence, a part of which is shown below:

"Your Referee down here, Judge Dava Tunis, the one who does not have a federally-mandated loyalty oath even to be on the bench, just today issued her final Referee's Report in the above matter, and she rejected The Bar's recommendation of a ten-year disbarment for me and instead is asking you to disbar me permanently with no opportunity ever to apply for reinstatement."

A point was also made in the letter about a lawyer receiving disbarment for 2 years (which he makes in comparison to his own possible sanction) due to sleeping with an underage prostitute…however, like with all of Jack’s statements, the gamers are very sceptical of the validity of it. Good chance it’s another skewing of the truth to put himself into a better position with the bar.
