Former Sony worker claims responsibility for Manhunt 2 torrent leak

As some of you may or may not have heard, around September, unrated versions of Take-Two Interactive's Manhunt 2 for the PlayStation 2 began appearing on the internet and on downloadable sites.

A spokesman for Rockstar games has put up a statement claiming that a former employee for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe was responsible for leaking what was an unrated play test version of the game.

So far no department or the name of the employee has been given out and it'll likely stay that way for various reasons.

Manhunt 2 has been banned in UK by the British Board of Film Classification back in June and despite several revisions and editings done by Rockstar Games, the ban has yet to be lifted and will most likely stay banned.

Guh, now that's no fun. People like this suck. It's so much better to wait in anticipation, to get a game that's fully completed and ready.

Except, in the case of Manhunt 2, we're...

1) Not getting the original game, thanks to overbearing industry censors.
2) Not able to play it at all in some countries, because it's banned.

I bet whoever this guy is, he's not going to be working there much longer...

I like this guy, whoever he is, for doing this. Now, perhaps we'll actually
find out what had to be cut from the game in order for it to conform to
the whims of all game rating boards. Damn the man!!

Because it's the new evil.

Movies and Music ran their course, now it's our turn.

Problem is, it seems to last pretty much up until there's a new media type...
Anyone see that coming any time soon?
