Media Create hardware sales figures for Japan, January 21-27.
It lends itself to few surprises, really. The DS Lite has always had a dominant place in the Japanese sales charts, though the PSP's rising popularity in the east sees it slowly creeping up on Nintendo's diminutive handheld, with the Wii sitting comfortably in third place.
The rest of the competition though, it sits uncomfortably in the backseat, especially poor Microsoft's, whose Xbox 360 is still struggling to find it's place in Japan.
DS Lite: 79,370
PSP: 77,933
Wii: 74,544
PS3: 34,363
PS2: 11,364
Xbox 360: 4,296

Like MS really cares when it's doing so well everywhere else...and with it's world domination and what not.
The PSP is doing pretty damn well. But thats because of the god called Crisis CORE!!! xD xD |

MS want Japan to buy the 360 but they're willing to play the long game. I'm suprised Lost Odysee hasn't helped though. |

Maybe Patapon will help the PSP? It looks like such an awesome game. Anyway, these results aren't surprising. Japan is usually rather predictable =o |

The PSP doesn't need any more help, with sales figures that hot.
I was actually quite surprised to see how high they were myself, but kudos to Sony! |
