The
BAFTA 2007 Video Games Awards nominations have been counted! The decisions have been made, and the awards have announced, and it's turned out to be a year when the British Academy of Film and Television Arts have shown a fine appreciation for our favourite passtime, both as a form of entertainment, and an emerging art form.
And blessed be, with so many terrible award events associated with gaming, the BAFTA 2007 Video Game Awards has succeeded in commemorating our culture and hobby with genuine reverence.
How so? Take a look at the results, and judge for yourself.

Overall that's a pretty good list, I do think Wii Sports was a winner a *tad* too much... but I don't think that because it's undeserving, I just wish there was a bit more variety. Don't listen to me. *laughs*
I do like the focus of each category, here. It makes me actually wish I saw these awards. |

Actually, I'd agree completely, It's a good game, but it's sad that it couldn't be beaten for all those awards...
Glad to see Okami and God Of War 2 getting some kudos ^___^
Not heard of Ragnarawk though <_<

Nice one Okami and God Of War!!!
I agree with the majority here, I think Wii Sports is good, just...not...THAT good.
Really....
But all in all, that is a very good list, and I think Bioshock deserves the best game award.
Not too amused at some of the people who presented the awards not being happy at giving award to Video Games. *snorts* Live in the present you UNFUNNY comedian!!! |
