As announced at the Game Developers Conference last week there will be Wi-Fi connection for the latest Zelda game which was exhibited at that same conference. Dubbed “Phantom Hourglass” the game will have the connectivity through the internet as confirmed by Nintendo’s Eiji Aonuma.
The game still has some “fine-tuning and polishing” left before release, arriving first in Japan and Aonuma elaborated on the work for the project by saying “the first thing I have to do without taking any breaks at all is get into the office and see that it gets done.”
Gameplay for Phantom’s Hourglass multiplayer on the Wi-Fi is a one on one battle where the player leads Link through a maze while dodging the attacks of the Stalker’s there Darknuts. To Link’s advantage he will have access to Pegasus boots and a shield to repel the attacks by the Stalker one time. To his disadvantage the Stalker will also have be able to use the boots and tornado to block Link’s progress and even power-ups to increase strength.

Is it just me, or does it feel like this gaming is taking forever to come out?
Regardless, this multiplayer could turn out to be quite a decent contribution to the game. I guess we're just going to have to find out... whenever the damn hell that will be. |

It's been pushed back too many times in my opinion. When I found out a while back that it was supposed to come out in June, I reserved a copy since my girlfriend's birthday is in June and she's a huge Zelda fan (was planning it as a birthday present of course); but now that it's pushed back until October, my plans have failed. |

I want this game <3
The multiplayer idea seems pretty cool. Allthough, I did kinda hope that the online would've been something similar to Four Swords Adventures, but this definitely seems fine enough. |
