Speaking publically in an investor call following the release of Blizzard's Q1 financials last night, Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime confirmed that the release date of the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion pack "Wrath of the Lich King" will be at some point in the final quarter of this calendar year.
That's October to December, basically.
"We have said that it will be coming out this year," Morhaime also stated. "I can tell you it's not coming in the July to September quarter."
The beta for Wrath of the Lich King is currently in progress. Unless you're one of the lucky people to get in, it looks like you're still going to have to wait a while yet.

I wish I was one of the lucky one's.
THOUGH, there are people who have put the beta server up for private usage.
I've heard the new class is utterly pounding through everything else, which means Blizz might have to do something to make it so people want to play other classes after level 50-55
I kept hearing January, but it's all good, and when i get some love back for WoW, I'll get my ass to level 70. |
