According to a recent
Wiicast interview with Fog Studio's Adam Spencer, the unique Wii horror Sadness is still on track, despite news on the project being quiet for quite some time now.
"Obviously there’s only so much I can say," Spencer told the site. "I can tell you for sure that the project is real, they’re actively developing it. There's no publisher for the game yet and as such it's impossible for us to say when the game is going to be released. Basically, that's the official statement."
"Nibris is doing an overhaul to their official site now. Next week they’re supposed to launch it and there will be some added information and a couple screenshots."
I remember the buzz when this was originally announced; the excitement over this black and white survival horror game that aims to convey some real emotion throughout the experience.
Then... silence.
If this game doesn't receive a publisher soon, sadness is exactly what a lot of us gamers will be feeling, but likely not in the way the developers intended.

*chuckles at the last line*
tbh, this is the first I've heard of this game, which might be a decent indication that it's definitely without needed exposure. Good to hear it's actually still in development, a lot of games would just be canned, but otherwise this sounds like a frustrating situation. |

After reading about this, I'm strongly reminded of Fahrenheit, in that it revolves around a realistic experience, where trauma effects both your character and how the game is played. I think it'll be very interesting, if done properly, and could very well rival some of the best horror games out there today. |

I remember hearing something about this some time back. Then, it fell off my radar. Thanks for putting it back on. I remember that it struck me as being a bit of an oddity - a Wii game that I actually wanted to play. |
