Wii Fit pre-orders go through the roof in the UK

Unique as Wii Fit may be, its certainly an oddity to see a video game focused on healthiness and fitness (not something many of us take pride in taking good care of) being such a hot product with consumers, but apparently that's the case.

Nintendo's new title being almost completely sold out across UK shores, before it's even launched... and the poof is in the pudding!

* Play.com - "We are currently sold out on this item. All orders will be dispatched as soon as possible."
* Amazon.co.uk - "Availability: Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available."
* Game.co.uk - "Please note: Due to massive demand we cannot take any further pre-orders on Wii Fit at the present time."
* Shopto.net - "Pre-order temporarily stopped."
* Zavvi.co.uk - "Sorry, Wii fit is temporarily out of stock, please check again soon."

By: Evren On: 10:15 Apr 16th, 2008 Offline	...WTF, thats just wierd, but I guess it appeals to the kind of gamers that use the Wii though, and thats what Nintendo want isn't it. I myself, wasnt going to buy it, I would much rather play DDR.

By: deanogee On: 12:39 Apr 16th, 2008 Offline	lol well apparently alot of gamers want to get fit.. the thing is - the console controller isnt really well designed for fitness training over a period of time... it can cause tennis elbow... and quite simply one arm to be much bigger than the other.. Other effects could include headaches and migraines due to the problem of having one shoulder bigger than the other with the trapezius too over developed than the other.. these are just the things on the top of my head... the best thing is to switch hands after a while - but then again some wii games are pre-programmed before a game on which hand and direction the movement will come from...
