As if the first one wasn't enough for us all to bear, it seems Capcom are set on releasing a second Street Fighter movie in 2008, to coincide with the franchise's 20th anniversary.

A rather odd move, considering that Capcom of Japan sold off the rights for the series to their American branch, and effectively stated that the franchise was essentially dead as far as the possibility for new games go. Still, they appear to be going ahead with it.

Production company Hyde Park Entertainment (What's the Worst That Could Happen?, Shopgirl) is set to be the "brains" behind the developement of this new movie, with relative nobody Justin Marks (Voltron) set with the unfortunate task of script duty, and will presumably center around "the lady with those giant thighs", Chun-Li.

Shower scenes involving the female lead, badly choereographed fights, and lots of testerone fueled meatheads mascarading as poor reditions of our favourite Street Fighter characters are all set to make an appearence in the movie.

We'll let you know if the situation improves, but please don't hold your breath.

The first movie was absolutely terrible. I can't even believe they're even thinking of making another one.

Imagine a turd, if you will. A big brown, wet, slimy, nutty turd. Now, imagine
a drunk homeless guy puking up the rotten ham sandwich he pulled out of
the trash and ate two hours ago all over said turd. Now, imagine if you will
a guy picking a fresh scab off of his taint and tossing out of the window
and having it land on the now puke covered nutty turd. Then, imagine
a pyromaniac happens by, sees the pile, and sets fire to it. That flaming
mound of gelatinous puke and scab covered slimy nasty turd would still make
for a better movie than the first Street Fighter. What the blue hades was
Raul Julia thinking when he signed on for that one? He died after making
that movie. Of humiliation.

This is news to me. I didn't know Capsom was going to make a second installment to that abominable movie. That movie was a embarrasment to every Street Fighter fan of that time.
The only thing I liked in that movie was Van Damme's "Flash Kick", I hated everything else. It gave me nightmares and the squirts. I did find solice in the anime Street Fighter movie, now that kicked a$$!
If they are going to bust out a second movie, I'd be more entertained by a bunch brawling, retarded, bloated, flactualating monkeys duking it out than watch Capcom open that coffin again and impaling that dead corpse.
