To say that Final Fantasy fans are anticipating Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core would be something of an understatement. The game is already out in Japan and has done very well in sales, but Square Enix have finally relieved fan's anticipations by announcing the title's official release in the US, along with the rest of their release schedule for 2008.

FFVII: Crisis Core will finally hit North American shores on March 25th, 2008!

For those not in the know, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, focusing on the pursuits of a young Cloud Strife and the man he idolised, Zack, during events set shortly before that faithful night in Nibleheim.

Square Enix also confirmed a US ship date for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates, which will be arriving for the Nintendo DS on March 11.

The Enix side of Square Enix won't be neglected, thankfully; Square Enix has confirmed Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (which probably deserves its own award for the longest game title ever) for release on the Wii on February 26.

Finally, the publisher announced that the original title, The World Ends With You, will be coming state-side in spring 2008 for the DS. Known more famously in Japan as It's a Wonderful World, The World Ends With You is an action RPG from the same team behind Kingdom Hearts, but has a visual style and identity influenced by Japan's hyper-trendy culture.

This is good for all the Square-Enix fans particularly for FF fans. There's been a lot of rumors and media going around about CC so it's nice to see if all the hype is warranted. Also, the Dragon Quest Swords (not gonna type out the whole title) sounds interesting as well...
