Sony launching PS3 platinum range in Europe

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) have announced that they will be introducing a PlayStation 3 Platinum range in European regions this fall, according to reports from website Jeux-France.

The website has claimed that the company that the titles on offer in the new Platinum range will be Formula One: Championship Edition, Folklore, Genji: Days of the Blade, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Resistance: Fall of Man and Ridge Racer 7 for a reduced price of EUR 40 each.

A mixed bag of quality and trash then, sadly.

A spokesperson for SCEE commented about the deal: "We have said all along that a Platinum range will happen at some point as it is what we have always done. As for when, we haven't and will not confirm anything yet."

Stay tuned for more information as it breaks.

Wow... so Heavenly Sword and Resistance... they at least have two games that are worth it.

Maybe Folklore... maybe.

That's £31.4662 at the current exchange rate. Any luck and they'll round that down to £30 but £35 is more likely.

At least there's a couple good titles on there, and this is only the beggining.

It seems most intriguing but I can't help but wonder if they are just trying to sell some dumpy games by offering a few good games. Oh well, at least there is some good stuff there. I wish I was more in the know about it, but I guess that'll have to wait until I buy a PS3. xD
