It looks like the PS3 is gaining some ground after all.
About a week ago, it came to our attention that the
Devil May Cry 3 had a strong dominance on the PS3 in Japan, but figured the game would have a tougher time in the US and the UK.
It seems we were wrong.
Although it hasn't sold as well as the Xbox 360 version, the PS3 edition of Devil May Cry 3 has performed surprisingly well despite a number of factors that would make the Xbox 360 edition much more appealing to consumers in general; the PS3 version has become rather infamous for the 5GB installation required for the game that only exists on the Sony console, and it is also £10 more expensive than it's 360 counterpart.
Despite these issues, the PS3 DMC4 has still managed to capture a good 39% of the Sony gamers' hearts.
Is this a sign of things to come? Will we see the PS3 gaining a stronger foothold amongst consumers despite it's slow start? If the developers can keep delivering the good, well then... it completely deserves to.

Well, when people on a console have nothing, if something big comes along of course 39% of them are going to pick it up. I'm actually surprised more PS3 owners haven't bought it. |
