My honest opinion? Metroid just doesn't work as a multiplayer game. Why? Because it's not focused on tactical shooting, but strategic performance within the levels. I just don't think it works. That's just me though. I'm sure the fans will be royally annoyed at this... |

There's online capabilities in the new Mario Strikers game. But that's one game out of... 30?

I'm not much of a Metroid series player, but, from what I have played, I don't see that going to a "multiplayer" type well. So, I think Prime 3 is where it should be, but that's just me.

Personally I'm glad that Prime 3 doesn't have multiplayer. Metroid has always seemed to emphasize being alone on an alien planet rather than the actual shooting; even with the Prime series in a first person perspective, they rely more on puzzle solving rather than using sheer fire power to overcome enemies and obstacles. I have seen a lot of the comments from people who are outraged by the lack of multiplayer, but what ever happened to the single player experience. No offense to anyone, but it seems ever since the introduction of Halo and Xbox Live people automatically lose interest in a game if it doesn't have multiplayer. As a Metroid fan I am looking forward to this game regardless if it has multiplayer or not. Metroid has never been a game I've desired to play with others just due to the fact that it has always been based on the single player experience and atmosphere of the games. |

I agree with Words. its not a true FPS, its more of a puzzle game that just plays as an FPS. its an FPS, don't get me wrong, just it's more of a puzzle game. |

I'm with Chance here, Metriod Prime is Nintendo's answer to Microsoft's Halo series. It shouldn't matter if it is a puzzle game. The potential is there. Had Nintendo introduced online multiplyer capability with Metiod Prime 3, it would ignite a fire in the Nintendo community. It would definately make finding a Wii far more difficult. But introducing it with Pokemon, well, that would make a Jusamack say, "That's absolutely gay." |
