[sum]Now that the cat's out of the bag and we know that Street Fighter IV will be heading to home consoles (as if we ever doubted it?), more details about the home console version have been revealed.

Speaking with SFIV producer Yoshinori Ono in its most recent issue, Japan's Weekly Famitsu revealed that the home versions of the game will feature exclusive new characters who won't feature in the arcade version. Even more importantly, Ono also revealed that the home versions will support online play, along fans to the street fight onto the virtual road.

Ono assured fans that Capcom won't be filling up the home versions with content just for the sake of content "We'll be adding characters while watching the overall balance," he said of the new characters. As for the online play, he said, "we won't be adding unnecessary stuff." So no "Chun-li dress up" simulators then.

Of the exclusive console characters, it appears that the now legendary Dan Hibiki and Bruce Lee tribute Fei Long will be amongst the list, based on preliminary images from the magazine.

Famitsu's report on the home versions of SFIV is accompanied by details of a new character, Seth. On the "pointless plotline front", Seth with be the "CEO of S.I.N, a company that handles Shadaloo's weapons." Seth has "the ability to input data from various fighting styles into his body.".

With Seth, the list of new warriors for SFIV has now reached five. Seth isn't just a new character though, he'll be taking over the place of big boss man Bison as the final boss of the game.

You can get a first look at the new warrior over at http://www.famitsu.com , or if you're extremely lazy, just look below!

As for the release date of Street Fighter IV, Capcom still haven't provided a release date, but listed the ports as 20% complete. Once we have a confirmed date of release, we'll let you know the instance the information falls into our lap!

As I was a fan of Urien and, to an extent, Gill, I like what they've done with Seth. I wouldn't have guessed Fei-Long being a console exclusive character though; Dan I can kind of understand. Either way I'm really looking forward to this game.
