Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe confirmed

Holy crap. Ho. Lee. Freakin'. Crap. If what I am about to tell you doesn't get every dork molecule in your body all in a tizzy, then I question your geekhood. The next instalment in the Mortal Kombat series has been confirmed, and it is - Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe.

Yes. DC Universe. As in - Sub Zero vs. Batman, Sonya Blade vs. Wonder Woman, Johnny Cage vs. Superman...you get the picture. I won't lie. Before this news, I didn't even know such a thing was even rumoured, let alone reality. But, upon hearing of it, and then watching the trailer, every fibre of my being jumped for joy.

I'm not a big fan of fighters, but I am sporting major geek wood for this one. No news on how the whole matter of DC characters not killing will be handled in a game famous for its gruesome fatality finishing moves, but however it goes, it almost can't help but be awesome sauce in a bucket.

No information about the game is publicly available at this point outside of the trailer and the confirmation of its existence. Could this game go down as a geeky classic in the vein of Marvel vs. Capcom? Time will tell, but I
believe it's pretty likely to.

The game will be available sometime this fall. Check out the trailer -

Indeed. This is for real. I wouldn't joke about something this significant in
the geekiverse.

Excellent. Although I'm not sure if it'll feel right watching Superman tear someone's limbs off. Batman, sure, but Superman? It's sorta not his style, is it?

it will either be horrible, hilarious, or a god awful failure. i dont see it being incredibly good...

Marvel works better in a game like this since its characters are KNOWN to be ruthless killers and they have a full array of popular characters that could do the whole "fatality" thing. *cough-sentry-throwing-someone-in-the-sun-cough* while DC has very peaceful characters...

i mean what are they going to do? batman's fatality? he'll tie them up? superman? wrap in steel gurders.

sure green arrow will shoot a billion arrows or something and green lantern can be creative, but otherwise the popular characters dont kill...

ghey

It officaially sucks, there are no fatalities and far less blood. The two things that make MK...

It may survive it, but it probably wont.
