Some of you may recall me discussing a unique little title called Mirror's Edge on here a few weeks back.

Mirror's Edge, which is being developed by DICE and published by EA, aims to take look at the first person games and rectify the often unnatural sense of disembodiment that we've taken for granted in the genre, and put movement and speed directly into the hands of the player.

Until now, we've had to make do with only screenshots to hint at the unique potential of this much talked about title, but a teaser trailer has finally been released, giving us something much more substantial with which to judge it.

I doubt you're going to be disappointed with this clip.

I can't believe EA came up with this it's nothing like what I would expect of them. Love the style of it as well everything about that trailer speaks of freedom even the music which by the way if anyone knows what that music was I would love to know.

Usually, if your character has to jump over something in a first person shooter, the game zooms out into third person. But not now. Now you only have the first person view, and I think this is going to lead to some interesting gameplay.

By: lockwood On: 11:04 May 12th, 2008 Offline	I am here to rain on many parades. Ok, I'm picky about my future of gaming, but I don't like the graphics. Everyone is heralding this as being amazing, but I'm a bit sketchy at this point. I like the nice clean environments and it looks pretty smooth in HD, but there are no shadows. It just doesn't look real when there's no black in the corner opposite where the light source is. As for the view, it IS pretty astounding. The level of detail in unnecessary things such as the cars in the city street below are nice, but the only thing that keeps me from feeling engrossed is the characters neck-of-steel. When I run, jump... well even walk, I tend to bob up and down at least a little. Maybe I need a pair of Forrest Gump magic shoes. Needs less stocky Koreans, and more Joanna Darks.
