It seems that news about BioWare these days only gets better and better, from their new hit Sci-Fi RPG, Mass Effect winning RPG of the year on various videogame award shows to the return of their legendary team up with Lucas Arts.

Now the Mercury News reports on an article by Dean Takahashi claims that Jade Empire 2, a sequel to BioWare's fantasy RPG is in fact real and is 360 bound.

So far though BioWare has not confirmed the rumor to be true, nor has it been confirmed if it will only be on the 360 but it'll only be a matter of time before BioWare officially gives the nod on the sequel or instead of an empire, we may see a return of an Old Republic...

You know, I loved the KOTOR games more than I can say, and so far I'm
geeking hard over Mass Effect. I have had the original Jade Empire for well
over a year, and I've never bothered to play it. I need to change that
sometime soon.

Trust me Chance, you're not missing out on much. It's probably the only game BioWare have developed that I could honestly label as "bad".

I'd be surprised if BioWare were working on a sequel to Jade Empire. Their resources could be better used elsewhere...

Wasn't the main problem with Jade Empire lack of development time?

That and the Xbox not being upto what they wanted to do?

If so, this could be a great game. I liked what I played of the first, although it wasn't much and I adored the idea.

We'll have to wait and see ^_^
