Take Two has just announced in its recent fiscal report that the 360 exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV's downloadable content won't be released until the first quarter of its fiscal 2009.

The content was originally due to hit the Xbox Live service in late October, but has been pushed back to the start of 2009 to "balance the books", so to speak.

"Fiscal 2008 guidance reflects the release of the first instalment of episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 in the first quarter of fiscal 2009 instead of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008 in order to provide a better balance in Take Two release schedule."

Personally, I find this delay to be more than a tad excessive, but there's little we can do about it other than pout and wait.

There will be many other titles out at that time, and people will be less likely to buy extra content for a game they may not play very much anymore.. Personally I think the game is VERY VERY good. But not perfect as the scores indicate. If the game was "perfect" then the issues with clipping, weapons, and even the cover scheme would have been fixed. Not to mention the graphics aren't the BEST in town. I feel like people scored it based on the hype and the previous GTA games instead of scoring it for the game that it is... which is very good... but not a 10/10
