Numerous reports have been coming in from around the internet claiming that Famitsu's has reviewed MGS4, and given the title the rarely bestowed perfect score; 40/40.

This is only the seventh time the magazine has given out a perfect score and is only the seventh time the accolade has been handed out in the magazine’s history.

Past title which have been given this honour include The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Soul Calibur, Vagrant Story, and Final Fantasy XII.

This reporter isn't going to judge on whether the score is deserved or not until he's had the chance to sit down and play the game for himself, which he'll thankfully be doing on the day of release.

The game could be completely marginal, and they would have given it glowing reviews just because it's Metal Gear. Still, I have no doubts about it being awesome, even though I've never played a Metal Gear game.

Anyone need a Kidney? Or a bit of liver?

The game looks like it has it all for 2008 video game - It has online features, graphics & top class hollywood cinematics. Plus lets not forget the story - MGS4 isnt forgetting its roots from the previous MGS titles, each one is a stepping stone to Snakes final chapter with similar but far deadlier friends and foes. Any thing less than a 40/40 100% score would of been a failure for this game and Sony's Playstation 3. I know its very early and i shouldnt really say this but I believe the battle has been won and MGS4 is the game of games.
