DS owners will get a double dose of Megman this year. The hero, known as Rockman in Japan, will be appearing on Mega Man ZX Advent and Mega Man Star Force. The former will retail at 29.99 while the latter will retail at 34.99.
In Advent the story follows Grey and Ashe, the two protagonists embroiled in a war between humans and machines, changing forms with the Biometal systems which will be needed to face off the game’s numerous bosses. Star Force will be available in three versions—Dragon, Leo and Pegasus. While the game is mostly the same at the start, the abilities of each will start to differentiate later in the game.
So it seems there will be a shortage of handheld Megaman games for DS gamers this year.

I could believe the shortage due to the amount of Mega Man games that have been spewed out in the past few years. Maybe Capcom will go with Quality than Quantity with their most treasured series, ZX Advent will be awesome and Star Force has been in development for some time compared to some series *coughBattleNetworkcough* which it is based off of but don't count it out though. |

Is this what they call a "shortage"? nowadays?
Why, I remember back in the good old days, when you could only get one Sonic game every two years... *drones on*
Megaman is a franchise I've never actually gotten it yet. Maybe now would be a good time to start... |

Considering how cheap the collections are [The Anniversary Collection (very well put together of MM1-8) and the X Collection (Collection could've had more extras and done more properly and X6 sucks, has X1-6)], it would would not hurt you financially considering. I would get those two and the Zero (all the good thing from all the other series rolled into one and has an actual tangible story that leads to ZX which leads to Legends) series on the GBA and Legends (The 3D Third Person shooter pseudo RPG) on the PS1, but good luck trying to find those.
Ignore the rest like X6 ,X7 , and the Battle Network series (though that is addictive at least), except maybe the remakes on the PSP which are really good or the RPG they had come out awhile ago and X8 was not half bad.
Whichever series you start out with is your call though and you won't find yourself disappointed... Except with X6.
(I just love bashing this game For being a steaming pile of sh!t and for even being called a MM game.) |
