As we know, successful comic book based movies are usually turned into mediocre games, with a few exceptions, but for a while, it seemed the newest Batman movie: "The Dark Knight" would not be seeing such an adaptation.
However Eidos revealed this Wednesday that they were working on a new Batman game, subtitled "Arkham Asylum".
The game is being developed by Rocksteady Studios, most known for PS2 game, "Urban Chaos: Riot Response" released 2006.
"Arkham Asylum" puts in the role of, obviously, Batman as he drops off supervillian The Joker at local loony-bin Arkham Asylum. But the inmates have other plans, setting a trap for the caped crusader. This is where the game starts.
Award winning writer Paul Dini is credited as the man behind the game's story. Both Eidos and Warner Bros. ensure us that the game will feature stunning graphics and an exciting adveture worthy of all Batman fans.
The game will be released to the PS3, XBox 360 and PC, with a date to be announced.

The moment I saw this story, I hoped they were going to be adapting Grant Morrisson's "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth" as a part of the story. But no such luck. |
