In the wake of the recent Xbox 360 price cut, sales of the console have risen 35-40 Europe-wide price drop, Chart-Track director Dorian Bloch confirmed today.

"Xbox 360 is up 35-40 percent - that's from Friday, when the price cut came into effect, up to midnight Saturday," he said. "Now it’s a question of Easter. The real litmus test will be over the next three to four weeks – it’s too early to read too much into it at this stage."

With the increased interest in the PS3 by consumers recently, this price cut should help balance out the scales again. It looks like the next few months are going to be an interesting time in the console "war".

They do have the MGS4 bundle coming soon that has the game and a Dualshock 3 controller in the box. I think Sony stays put and simply lets the system sell at current prices. A GTA IV package would be a nice way to go for them, though. It could ship (at least in America) with a PS3 colored, GTA IV edition 9mm Glock for smokin' some real life fools. :lol:

But I dont know how long it's going to last. shrugs It's a good move on MS's part, it means people who currently couldnt afford one, can get one in time for GTA IV. It also means I can get a new one for cheaper. <3
