In a move that has taken many video game fans in general, and Super Smash Bros. fans in particular by complete surprise, Nintendo has announced that the newest iteration in the famous fighting series, slated for a February 08
release, will include the ability to design and share custom levels.
Everything about the levels will be customizable. From backgrounds, objects, and even the background music, fans can build, and battle test on the fly, custom levels. Like the Forge feature in Halo 3, Smash Bros fans will be able to save and share their unique levels with each other, as well as to Nintendo if you so desire, and the big N in return can provide you with one new custom level per day, if you so desire.
I believe the potential of this is huge, and it will lendan extra degree of replay value to this already stellar franchise. Way to go Nintendo!

Oh gosh, I'm so excited. It just seems that there's more and more and more good stuff going into this game. No wonder the release was pushed! I don't care! It'll be so worth it. |

This is waaaaay old, but I'm glad you reported it. I was playing to, but never got around to it.
The potential of this is, obviously, stellar, but that will depend entirely on how well Nintendo can implement it. If the tools are too limited, it will never compare to real matches on proper stages.
I have fate in the big N though. |

oohhh, Are you going to be able to unlock new parts when you unlock some other things, or are you able to get everything from the get-go? |
