You know something? I think our fellow gamers in Japan just might like Super Smash Bros. Brawl a little bit. Sales figures are in, and since the game's Jan 31 launch in Japan it has sold over 1 million copies. That, for those of you who haven't been paying attention, officially makes it the fastest selling Wii game in that console's history.
The game is set to release in the U.S. on March 9, as most of you are already aware, where analysts fully expect the game to blast past that mark in short order.
I'm not much of a fighting game fan, to put it mildly, and I've never played a Smash Bros. game, but I have to admit that the idea of using classic Nintendo characters to kick the crap out of each other does have my curiosity piqued.

Honestly? It doesn't surprise me.
This game is huge, and when a game on the Wii sells, it doesn't just sell... it SELLS.
Expect me to be consumer number 1,000,001 |
