According to a recent article on ArsTechnica, Microsoft may have a full scale price cut across its entire 360 SKU range planned in the US, following heavy rumours revealed earlier in the year about said price drop.

The price cut is expected to hit in early September, possible to coincide with the launch of the Xbox Experience, and these are the prices we can expect to see:

* Arcade (no hard drive) to $199
* Pro (60GB) to $299
* Elite (120GB) to $399

Guess you can't complain about prices like that.

$199 for the 360? Thats cheap. PlayStation Portables are still $169-249....Might get me interested in buying one.

I found what is supposed to be a "leaked screenshot" of the price cut. There are areas blacked out for anonymity purposes I'm sure. But here it is anyway.

This doesn't exactly = proof. But I really hope that MS just gets rid of the arcade altogether. They estimated that a console costs 236 US dollars to make.. I hope that price has gone down if they hope to turn a profit.
