Rumors abound that there is a PSP Phone in development that would include a screen that could rotate 90 degrees to improve the operability of the buttons and perhaps enhancing gameplay.

The rumor of PSP phone connectivity circulated when SCEE filed a patent for which convinced some the existence of such a patent made the product's development possible because it was described as for “performing entertainment functions represented by gaming function.”

“…I know nothing about a PSP phone.” That came from Sony’s David Reeves who added. “…and I would know. They wouldn’t develop it without our knowledge.”

I remember hearing about this.

Mind you, recently I was listening to some music on my PSP, and had the thing up to my ear like a phone... and I realised just how stupid I looked.

So it's probably a good thing they're not going ahead with this. :lol:

I did the same thing the other day. :o A PSP phone would've been neat but I'm sure as hell not paying for that service.
