In an
online interview with Nintendo's Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Affairs Perrin Kapl, she expresses frank sentiments about the company's plans for the future, and Nintendo's apparent decision to pull the plug on the GameCube.
"Are we producing any more GameCubes? No," Kaplan points out at one point in the interview, "But do we have the inventory there for people to still purchase? Yes." She also stated that Nintendo has no plans to develop
any new games for the console, something that a quick glance over the list of the non-existent games for the console in the future can attest to.
Nintendo themselves have yet to release any personal statements about the subject, but we'll keep you updated when / if we find out any more information on the issue

I thought we said goodbye already but I guess it wasn't 'official'. No surprises here maybe even lower prices to get a Gamecube (as if they weren't low enough). But still sad but have to move on to newer things. |
