A new year is underway and Sony is wasting no time in showing off all the updates and features for its products. With its Consumer Electronics Show taking place next week, the Sony CES website has begun to show off what's in store next week.

One of the more notable updates is for the Sony PSP system. Along with being able to access the PS3 and PlayStation Store on Wi-Fi, the PSP system will be updated for Skype use. PSP owners would then be able to according to the website "Call friends, talk trash to fellow gamers, or catch up with old acquaintances on Spype for the PSP."

Sony has been all out in making updates and features for the online community, a constantly growing market, with wireless internet for PS3 owners, remote access to the PS3 on the PSP and now a new way for online gamers to be able to further interact.

More updates on the Sony Consumer Electronics Show, which takes place January 7 - 10 will be available.

Although MGSPO and Squad Commander were only demos. And Skype, in game? OMG we have teh best portable gaming system EVAR!!!!
