New Xbox 360 Arcade Bundle Packs for the UK and Australia

Relevant Consoles: : Xbox 360
So far most of the news coming from either Australia or the UK concerning games has been pretty negative with games being banned or gamers getting into trouble.

However some good news is around the corner as Microsoft has announced that both the United Kingdom and Australia will be getting new bundle packs for the Xbox 360 Console systems for this holiday season.

Those of you across the pond in the UK who've been wondering if your family would like to get into gaming might like the Family Friendly bundle pack titled the Xbox 360 Arcade that will be available in a few days.

This console comes with the following features:

- 5 Xbox Live arcade games featuring Pac-Man: Championship addition, UNO, Feeding Frenzy, Boom Boom Rocket and Luxor 2
- A wireless controller, JDMI outputs, and a 256 MB memmory card all for 199.99 GBP

Those of you in the outback will be recieving the Pro-Pack which contains the same version that Japan is getting which contains the premium version of the Xbox 360 console and copies of Viva Pinata and Forza 2 that will be available also on November 1st for about AU$580, along with the Arcade pack which will replace the core models at around AU$400 which will be available two weeks after the release of the propack

Hopefully this good news will put the recent news of Activision's Soldier of Fortune: Payback being banned in the AU and will put gaming back in a good light in the UK and AU

You know, I'm all for these variations of consoles, but is it just me, or are they starting to overdo it a little?

I'd heard rumours about the Xbox Arcade coming to the home, and this Family Friendly pack certainly seems like a decent, inexpensive option... for a family at least.

For the serious gamer? Not so much.

But kudos to Microsoft for a good concept that will expand their reach.

I dont want it. I really dont.

MS, We all know you have lots and lots of money to burn and throw about, but before you start making millions of different consoles and confusing the hell out of everyone, how about making the first console WORK properly?
No? Oh.

I do bet my mom would have been happier with this version rather than the core, as she is a rather casual gamer.

Is the Arcade replacing the core in the UK as it says it is in the AUS?
