Speaking in a recent GI interview, David Edery, worldwide games portfolio planner for Xbox Live Arcade, confirmed recent rumours that the file-size for XBLA games is to be extended from 150Mb to 350Mb.

"Yeah, it's a steady progress," when asked if the new size was correct. "We’ve been listening to our partners, listening to our customers to try and get a feel for what's right. We don't want the size limit to hit the roof because we think there's some value in promoting small pick and play experiences that don't cost USD 20 million, it’s good for the ecosystem."

I assume he meant "economy".

There wasn't any word on when this will go into effect, but it shoud at least make for a greater variety of titles to become available, which includes to the original Dreamcast Soul Calibur, which is due to hit Xbox Live in the next few weeks.

Yeah... the "ecosystem" is getting pretty bad. Yesterday I went swimming and cut my foot open on a toxic Megabyte that was on the bottom of the lake.
