BioWare, one of the most famous developers of story heavy RPGs is considering doing DS versions of Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Jade Empire and a couple of others.
Miles Holmes, lead designer on DS bound "Sonic Chronicles", said in an interview with Eurogamer Germany that the developer is looking at "basically anything that reinforces the franchises".
"I tell you which one I would want. I want the Mass Effect one," said Holmes.
"We have a lot of big plans for Mass Effect. Having a DS version would be an awesome way to keep interest alive and keep it going in addition to [Mass Effect 2]."
The overall goal of the handheld team is to reinforce major title releases, and to work on up to-to three projects at once.
Holmes' comments echo those of Chronicles team Mark Darrah, who recently revealed BioWare was looking into the PSP and Wii in order to "broaden our portfolio"

I remember before Mass Effect came out they mentioned that they had big plans with downloadable content for the game. Since then, we got a teeny mission that barely lasts an hour or two, with no storytelling meat to it, and no promises of any more downloadable content for the foreseeable future.
I can't see how Mass Effect would work on the DS. I'll just sit and wait for Mass Effect 2, I guess. |

Interesting. I think it could work...maybe. Every time I think about it though I get flash backs of Assassins Creed and Call of Duty 4 DS. *shiver* |

Sounds like a bad idea, how would you go from nice looking on 360 and PC to not so nice looking on DS? lol, but it would be interesting to see how they pull it off and make the touchpad work in the game |
