PlayStation Home is one of the "big" things being lined up for the PS3, a free online social networking system with a complete virtual environment to explore... sounds cool, right? Well, not according to Japanese gamers, it isn't.

A recent survey in the famous Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu asked resident Japanese gamers "What do you think about member services like PlayStation Home?". The differences in opinion were drastic, to say the list.

• 27.3% are interested in trying it out
• 37.3% percent don't care
• 35.4% percent dislike such services

Here's hoping the west is a little more forthcoming.

I'll leave the jury up to you guys. What are your thoughts on PlayStation Home, and the unique experience it's hoping to bring to gamers?

To put it simply it's an online free roaming 3D community, you make your avatar however you wish you have your own home you can do up as you wish and you can go roam places like cinemas and game arcades and loads of other things while socializing online. I'll try it out but this type of thing is really a love/hate thing and you won't know till you try it.

We're supposed to get our PS3 this week (Hooray for getting our taxes back!!!) and I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long for it to launch. I have no idea what the date for it is as of right now, because I haven't looked up too much about it.
