Eurpoean PS3 may receive price drop to €400

It was reported today that Sony will be dropping the price of the 40 gig model to 399 Euros, and the 60 gig model will receive a 100 Euro drop. While Sony has yet to confirm this. they did say an announcement was imminent.

Whether or not this drop will travel to North America (though it does seem likely), this can be nothing short of positive for Sony, as they still have no killer apps that make the system a "must own" console for most gamers.

Given that the holiday shopping season is almost upon us, Sony had to know that without a price drop to entice buyers, the PS3's chances at regaining the ground already lost to their competitors would be slim to none.

It's just a truth. Not enough incentive to get the system.
