In a detailed conference call yesterday, Electronic Arts offered a miniscule slice of information about the release date of Wight Wright's Spore. Vague would be an understatement.

Company CEO John Riccitiello has stated that he is "confident" Will Wright’s PC game Spore would ship “before the holidays” this year. "It’s one of he titles we pay enormous attention to," he said, adding that he was "very, very bullish" about the game's future prospects.

Of course, Spore is pretty infamous for the fact that it's release date has been pushed back countless times. It was originally "squarely targeted at March, April, or May".

If the game actually makes it's targeted release date this time, I will eat my 3 legged, five nosed Wopeltinger for breakfast.
