Don't forget all the games that are still coming out in the coming months! The sexiness isn't over yet. Microsoft seems to be a little better in terms of keeping up with demand so far. That is, the demand isn't so prickly and the shipments aren't so scarce. They're doing fairly well. This is what success tastes like. <3 |

Microsoft seem to have swept the market out from Sony's feet, with them so surprised by the move that they are barely keeping their footing. But the war isn't over yet, and tomorrow is a whole other day. Microsoft have won Christmas, but who knows what the new year will bring? |

I figured as much. It's too late for PS3 to catch up this year though indeed another year might bring something different. But clearly the software sometimes sells the hardware at least in this case. Microsoft are doing quite well.

I must admit I am really getting sick of this whole console war thing, they are all different consoles which tend to have different games. So why not have peace? Lets start a campaign for an end to the console war. To stop trying to make it a glorious fact one console sells more then another and simply accept that different consoles have different strengths buy which ever ones we personally want and support those who choose a different one. |

Because my friend, if we did that we would stop there being compotition. No compotition and the industry stops trying so hard. Do you really want to go down that road?

There does not need to be competition, it is demand which drives the industry and pride which furthers it. Competition is just an ugly side effect of the consumers demand for games and the consoles and the creators pride in making them.

if but it worked that way, what drives most pojects, not all but most, is the prospect of sales. Simple as. Although it's normally the publishers pushing it, rather than the developers themselves.

Games will sell if they are good to play consoles will sell if they have good games. Competition is not needed and in the end I think it's more hurtful to the industry then helpful.
